# Robinhood Wallet

Robinhood Wallet is the front door to Robinhood Chain for ordinary users, and that distribution is the chain's single biggest structural advantage. It is a self-custody wallet — keys held by the user, offered through Robinhood Non-Custodial, Ltd. — that puts the chain one tap away from an existing Robinhood audience rather than asking people to discover a separate interface. Two caveats are essential and should not be softened. First, this is emphatically not a US product: Stock Tokens are unavailable to US persons and restricted in several other jurisdictions, so the wallet's reach is real but geographically carved. Second, the ownership model is not what a casual user might assume — Stock Tokens are tokenised debt securities issued by a Robinhood entity that track a stock's price; holding one in the wallet is not direct legal ownership of the underlying share. The position to take is that Robinhood Wallet is what turns Robinhood Chain from a technically-interesting L2 into a distribution play: the chain's early volume is inseparable from the fact that its assets live inside an app tens of millions of people already have. That same tight coupling is the risk — the chain's retail success is largely a function of one company's wallet, roadmap and regulatory perimeter.
