Open interest

Open interest is the total value of derivatives positions currently open on a venue — a truer gauge of committed capital than turnover, which double-counts opens and closes. On Robinhood Chain it is small in absolute terms in the launch weeks (Arcus reported roughly $900k), a signal that the chain's derivatives layer is early relative to its spot and lending activity.
