Robinhood Chain glossary
The vocabulary of Robinhood Chain, defined answer-first and cross-linked. Where a term is a tracked project, contract, or standard, it links straight to its sourced dossier.
A
- Account abstraction
- Account abstraction is the umbrella for making wallets programmable — sponsored gas, batched calls, scoped keys, and passkey signatures — instead of every transaction being signed by one externally owned key.
- Across
- Across is an intents-based bridge and day-one partner on Robinhood Chain that fills a user's request on the destination chain immediately and reconciles later, so a withdrawal to Ethereum need not wait out the rollup challenge period.
- Alchemy
- Alchemy is a day-one infrastructure partner on Robinhood Chain, providing RPC endpoints (mainnet, testnet, and WebSocket) and account-abstraction tooling.
- Arbitrum Expansion Program
- The Arbitrum Expansion Program is the arrangement under which a chain built on the Arbitrum stack routes part of its net protocol revenue back to the Arbitrum ecosystem.
- Arbitrum Nitro
- Arbitrum Nitro is the technology stack Robinhood Chain runs on — the optimistic-rollup software that executes EVM transactions, compresses them, and posts batches and fraud-proof data to Ethereum.
- Arbitrum stack
- The Arbitrum stack is the framework for launching dedicated Layer 2 and Layer 3 chains that settle to Ethereum through Arbitrum's Nitro software.
- Arcus
- Arcus is a self-custodial spot-and-perps venue on Robinhood Chain — around $5.6m of TVL in early July 2026 — built by an ex-dYdX team together with Robinhood Crypto to trade Stock Tokens and crypto in one place.
B
- Base prospectus
- The base prospectus is the legal offering document for Robinhood's Stock Tokens, published by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited.
- Block explorer
- A block explorer is the public interface for inspecting a chain's transactions, addresses, and contracts.
C
- Canonical bridge
- The canonical bridge is Robinhood Chain's native bridge to Ethereum — the trust-minimised route that locks assets on L1 and mints their representation on the chain, and vice versa.
- Canonical token
- A canonical token is the specific contract address Robinhood publishes as the real one for a given asset — for example AAPL at 0xaF3D76f1834A1d425780943C99Ea8A608f8a93f9.
- Chain ID
- A chain ID is the integer that uniquely identifies an EVM network so wallets and signed transactions cannot be replayed on the wrong one.
- Chainlink CCIP
- Chainlink CCIP (Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol) is Chainlink's standard for moving tokens and messages between chains under a single security model, live on Robinhood Chain from day one.
- Chainlink Data Feeds
- Chainlink Data Feeds are the onchain price oracles that publish the reference prices behind Robinhood Chain's Stock Tokens, live from day one.
- Chainlink Data Streams
- Chainlink Data Streams are a low-latency, pull-based price service — quotes are fetched and verified onchain at the moment they are needed, rather than pushed on a fixed cadence like Data Feeds.
- CLMM
- A concentrated-liquidity market maker (CLMM) lets liquidity providers place capital within chosen price ranges rather than across the whole curve, raising capital efficiency at the cost of active management and more exposure to price moving out of range.
D
- Data availability
- Data availability (DA) is the guarantee that the data behind a rollup's blocks is published where anyone can retrieve it, so the chain's state can be independently verified and users can exit without the operator's cooperation.
E
- EIP-7702
- EIP-7702 is an Ethereum standard that lets an ordinary wallet address temporarily act as a smart-contract account within a transaction, gaining batching and sponsorship without migrating to a new address.
- ERC-4337
- ERC-4337 is the account-abstraction standard that lets a smart-contract wallet, rather than an externally owned key, initiate transactions — enabling gas sponsorship, batched actions, and custom signature schemes.
- Ethereum blobs
- Ethereum blobs are the low-cost data slots introduced by EIP-4844 that rollups use to post their transaction data to Ethereum.
F
- FCFS ordering
- First-come, first-served (FCFS) ordering is how Robinhood Chain's sequencer sequences transactions — by arrival time, not by fee.
G
- Global Dollar Network
- The Global Dollar Network is a stablecoin consortium launched in November 2024 by Paxos with partners including Robinhood, Kraken, Anchorage Digital, Galaxy Digital, and Nuvei.
H
- Honeypot token
- A honeypot token is a malicious token whose contract lets buyers in but blocks or taxes selling, so the value can only flow to the deployer.
L
- L2BEAT stages
- L2BEAT stages are a framework for how decentralised a rollup is: Stage 0 (training wheels fully on, operator-dependent), Stage 1 (a security council plus working proofs), and Stage 2 (proofs govern, minimal operator trust).
- Launchpad graduation
- Launchpad graduation is the point at which a newly launched token has drawn enough liquidity or buying on a launchpad to migrate into standing public liquidity.
- LayerZero
- LayerZero is a cross-chain messaging protocol and a day-one bridge partner on Robinhood Chain, used to move assets and messages between the chain and other networks without the canonical bridge's withdrawal delay.
- LI.FI
- LI.FI is a bridge-and-DEX aggregator (surfaced to users through Jumper) that routes a transfer to or from Robinhood Chain across whichever underlying bridges and swaps are cheapest or fastest.
- Lighter
- Lighter is a ZK-based perpetuals venue available on Robinhood Chain, backed by investors including Founders Fund, Ribbit, Haun, Robinhood, and Coinbase.
M
- Morpho Blue
- Morpho Blue is the lending protocol that anchors credit on Robinhood Chain — roughly $83m of TVL in early July 2026 — and the engine behind Robinhood Earn's USDG yield.
- Morpho vault
- A Morpho vault is a curated allocator that spreads deposits across underlying Morpho Blue markets according to a risk mandate, so a depositor gets a single yield-bearing position instead of picking individual markets.
N
- No native token
- Robinhood Chain has no token of its own — no native gas coin, no staking token, and no governance token.
O
- Open interest
- Open interest is the total value of derivatives positions currently open on a venue — a truer gauge of committed capital than turnover, which double-counts opens and closes.
- Optimistic rollup
- An optimistic rollup is a Layer 2 that posts transaction data to Ethereum and assumes batches are valid unless a fraud proof challenges them during a dispute window.
P
- Perpetual futures
- Perpetual futures (perps) are derivatives that track an asset's price with no expiry, held in balance by a periodic funding payment between longs and shorts.
- PropAMM
- PropAMM is Rialto's proprietary market-making and aggregation design on Robinhood Chain — a routing layer that seeks best execution across venues for spot trades in crypto, tokenised equities, ETFs, and commodities, rather than being a single public pool.
R
- Relay Protocol
- Relay Protocol is a cross-chain execution and bridging layer that, on Robinhood Chain, blocks known scam tokens from its routes — an application-layer filter on a chain that itself imposes none.
- Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited
- Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited is the issuer of Robinhood's Stock Tokens — the entity whose balance sheet stands behind each tokenised equity as a debt security.
- Robinhood Chain
- Robinhood Chain is a permissionless, EVM-compatible Layer 2 built on the Arbitrum stack, settling to Ethereum, with ETH as the gas token and a Robinhood-operated sequencer.
- Robinhood Earn
- Robinhood Earn is Robinhood's self-custody savings product on the chain: a user holds USDG and lends it through Morpho for a yield quoted around 7% APY at launch, keeping custody in their own wallet rather than depositing to Robinhood.
- Robinhood Wrapped ETH
- Robinhood Wrapped ETH (WETH) is the ERC-20 wrapper for ETH on Robinhood Chain, at 0x0Bd7D308f8E1639FAb988df18A8011f41EAcAD73.
- RPC endpoint
- An RPC endpoint is the URL through which wallets, apps, and nodes send transactions and read state from Robinhood Chain.
- RWA
- A real-world asset (RWA) is an offchain asset — an equity, bond, fund, or commodity — represented as a token onchain.
S
- Sequencer
- The sequencer is the service that orders transactions on Robinhood Chain and produces its roughly 100ms blocks before batches are posted to Ethereum.
- Sheriff V3
- Sheriff V3 is a concentrated-liquidity DEX on Robinhood Chain, small at launch (around $51k TVL in early July 2026).
- Stock Token
- A Stock Token is a tokenised equity on Robinhood Chain — an ERC-20 with 18 decimals, priced by a Chainlink feed and issued as a debt security by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited.
T
- Tokenized debt security
- A tokenised debt security is a token that represents a debt claim tracking an asset's economics rather than direct ownership of that asset.
- TVL
- Total value locked (TVL) is the dollar value of assets deposited in a chain's or protocol's contracts — the standard, if imperfect, gauge of how much capital a venue holds.
U
- uiMultiplier()
- uiMultiplier() is a function on each Stock Token contract that carries a scaling factor for corporate actions — dividends and stock splits — so onchain balances and prices track the underlying without redeploying the token.
- Uniswap (AMM)
- Uniswap is the primary public automated market maker on Robinhood Chain — around $43m of TVL and the large majority of the chain's spot DEX volume in early July 2026.
- USDG
- USDG is a 1:1 US-dollar-backed stablecoin issued by Paxos under the Global Dollar Network, and the dominant dollar on Robinhood Chain — around 68% of the chain's roughly $300m stablecoin supply in early July 2026.
W
- Withdrawal window
- The withdrawal window is the delay on moving assets from Robinhood Chain back to Ethereum through the canonical bridge — the challenge period during which a fraud proof could contest the batch (seven days on standard Arbitrum rollups; confirm current parameters against the docs).
