Total value locked, or TVL, measures assets counted in a protocol's or network's contracts under a data provider's methodology. The Robinhood Chain DeFi record showed around $132m in early July 2026. Bridge and protocol totals can have different scopes and should not be added without checking overlap. TVL measures deposits rather than trading activity or active users.
